Research from the Department for Education has shown that pupils who truant have a higher risk of being a victim of crime or becoming involved in crime and have lower education achievement. The details you provide to us will be used by the Student Support Service to check why a pupil is not in school and to ensure they return to school as soon as possible.
If you are concerned that a child or young person you know may be truanting from school or you have any other concerns you can report it online here (anonymously if you prefer) to Blackpool Council's Student Support Team. If you prefer you can call our freephone Truancy Hotline on 0800 073 1799. All information submitted using this form, or using the freephone hotline will be treated as confidential and in line with Blackpool Council's privacy statement.
